Supported browsers and mobile experience for Dailybot

Dailybot has two surfaces: the chat platform (Slack / Microsoft Teams / Discord / Google Chat) and the web app at https://app.dailybot.com/. Almost all daily activity happens in chat; the web app is mainly for owners and admins to configure and review.

Supported browsers (web app)

Browser Status
Google Chrome Fully supported (recommended). Latest 2 stable versions.
Microsoft Edge Fully supported. Latest 2 stable versions.
Mozilla Firefox Supported. Latest 2 stable versions.
Apple Safari Supported on macOS / iOS. Some embeds (calendar / OAuth) may behave differently due to ITP.
Arc / Brave / Opera (Chromium-based) Should work because they are Chromium under the hood. Not officially tested every release.
Internet Explorer Not supported.
Browsers older than 2 years Not supported.

If a screen looks broken (blank, frozen, broken layout), the first checks are:

  1. Hard refresh (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R).
  2. Try an incognito / private window (rules out extensions and cache).
  3. Try Chrome as a control browser.
  4. Disable aggressive ad blockers / privacy extensions for app.dailybot.com and dailybot.com.

Cookies, third-party cookies, and SSO

The web app sets cookies for dailybot.com. If your browser blocks third-party cookies aggressively (default in Safari ITP, “Strict” mode in Firefox/Brave), some flows may break:

  • Sign-in callbacks from Slack / Microsoft / Google.
  • Embedded integrations.
  • OAuth re-authorizations from your IdP if you are on enterprise SSO.

If sign-in fails repeatedly, switch to Chrome to confirm it is a cookie/extension issue and not your account, then add dailybot.com to the allow list of your browser.

Mobile

Dailybot does not ship a standalone mobile app. You use Dailybot from the mobile app of your chat platform:

Platform Where you use Dailybot on mobile
Slack Slack iOS / Android app – bot DMs, slash commands and check-in prompts work.
Microsoft Teams Teams iOS / Android app.
Discord Discord iOS / Android app.
Google Chat Gmail / Google Chat iOS / Android app.

The web app (app.dailybot.com) renders on mobile browsers, but it is optimized for desktop – some configuration screens are harder to use on a small screen. Admin work is best done on desktop.

When Dailybot looks broken on mobile

Symptom Likely cause
Buttons in chat do nothing Older version of the chat app – update from App Store / Play Store.
Check-in modal never opens Some Slack mobile builds did not open modals when triggered from a thread – open from the bot DM instead.
“Login expired” loop on mobile browser Third-party cookie restrictions – finish sign-in on desktop, then return to mobile.
Long answers truncated Mobile chat clients render shorter messages; open the web app for the full text.

Accessibility

Dailybot follows accessible web practices but does not currently publish a VPAT. If you have an accessibility requirement (screen reader testing, contrast level, keyboard navigation), contact support with the specific need and the screen where it occurs.
