Connect Google Calendar to Dailybot

Connect Google Calendar to Dailybot

Connect Google Calendar so Dailybot can respect busy times, out-of-office blocks, or automation triggers tied to calendar events (depending on your plan and enabled features).

Before you start

  • You need Org Admin access in Dailybot.
  • Use a Google account that can authorize Calendar access for the people or resources you want to link.
  • Confirm your organization allows Google OAuth for third-party apps.

Steps

  1. In Dailybot, open Integrations and select Google Calendar (or start from an automation that needs calendar data and choose Connect).
  2. Sign in with Google when redirected and approve the requested scopes.
  3. Pick the calendar or account scope Dailybot should read (personal vs shared calendars depend on your setup).
  4. Save integration settings and test with a small group before org-wide rollout.

What you can use it for

  • Time off and availability — Calendar blocks may align with skipping check-ins or showing away status when configured.
  • Automations — Workflows can react to calendar events where your plan exposes those triggers.
  • Scheduling awareness — Reduces reminders during meetings when the product ties calendar busy state to delivery rules.

Exact capabilities change by plan; if a toggle is missing in your workspace, ask support whether your tier includes calendar sync.

Troubleshooting

  • Reconnect if tokens expired after a Google password reset or admin policy change.
  • Wrong calendar selected — Users may connect a personal calendar while the team expects a shared resource calendar; reconnect and pick the correct one.
  • Permissions denied — Google Workspace admins may need to allow Dailybot in the admin console.
