ClickUp integration guide

Connect ClickUp with Dailybot to track activity about cards that are created and updated. Activity is surfaced in check-in reports so managers see task progress alongside daily updates.

Detailed setup

Step 1: Generate a ClickUp API token

1. Navigate to ClickUp Settings → Apps
2. Generate a new API token and copy it

Step 2: Configure Dailybot

1. Go to Dailybot Settings → API & Integrations → ClickUp
2. Paste your ClickUp API token

Step 3: Add workspace

1. Click the Add workspace button that appears after entering the token
2. Select the team you want to track

User matching

Dailybot matches ClickUp users to team members using this priority:

1. Personal API token — Team members add their individual ClickUp API tokens on the Integrations page
2. Automatic matching — Dailybot attempts to match by full name between both platforms

Token security: Users can regenerate compromised personal tokens in ClickUp’s settings. Note that applications using the old token will lose access upon regeneration.

Activity tracking in reports

1. Open the check-in settings for the check-in you want to enhance
2. Go to Sharing → Advanced Options
3. Enable Activity tracking

Activity logged within 24 hours before a check-in response through the end of that day appears as an automatically added column in reports.
