Goal

You want to gather feedback from your team in order to identify key learnings, actions for improvements and reflect about what went well and what didn't.

The retrospectives were made popular by Agile Teams but we believe it can really add value to any team in any industry.

Questions

  1. What went well?
  2. What did you learn?
  3. What needs improvement? (i.e it went wrong, it wasn’t delivered or didn’t go as expected)

Recommended frequency for this practice

You don't have to run retrospectives continuously, however if you're using Sprints, probably you'd like to have a basic Retrospective at the end of each iteration. You can also run retrospective for specific projects or initiatives that were finished and you want the team to reflect on it, analyze what was learned and take note of improvements that must be pursued.
