We're excited to announce that we have completed our SOC 2 Type II audit process.
If you aren't familiar with SOC 2: This is a standard that focuses on improving the security of cloud-based services. Our users and customers can rest assured knowing their data is encrypted and well protected, and that our company follows best security practices with the same industry standards applied by giants like AWS, Google, and many others.
We analyzed hundreds of bots and chat plugins out there and found out that most of the available bots do not comply with good levels of security and privacy standards. It is scary how businesses and people are sharing their data with unsecured services; data is vulnerable nowadays and that’s why cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important.
We’re in a decade where security must be a top priority, not only for businesses but for consumers.
We’re investing heavily in security so our customers can enjoy a secure and privacy-first service. We believe chat plugins are here to stay, and pluggable chatbot solutions should adhere to top security standards.
We now give our customers greater confidence that their data is safe and private. They can also know exactly what information we collect from them, how we use that information, and how long we store it, so instead of worrying about whether or not their data is secure, they can focus on their business.

Since our early days, we have taken cybersecurity and data protection seriously. Now it is a strategic decision and a core value of our company, and we've been working hard to ensure that it's a priority at every level.
That means our developers are regularly trained on secure coding practices, and we have a dedicated security team who works to ensure that we're all keeping up their best practices.
To make sure all our security controls are in place, we have deployed automated systems that are monitoring 24/7 our infrastructure and staff equipment, and we have deployed policies and processes for handling sensitive data or information about our customers.
Our security team ensures that all policies are followed correctly across the board, and works with the rest of the team to ensure that any concerns raised by employees or users can be addressed quickly and efficiently.
The SOC 2 attestation proves how seriously we take these measures: it shows potential customers—and current ones—that they can trust us as partners because we use industry-standard best practices when it comes to protecting customer data.
The framework itself helps us get external audits of the systems and processes. Additionally, we receive periodic reports that inform us about where the organization needs to improve in terms of security and data protection practices.
As a result, we’re better prepared to implement strong security controls into our daily operations and prepare ourselves for future challenges.
As we’re big fans of automation, we deployed SOC 2 with a modern approach. We’ll share more in a future blog post, also explaining how we even used our own product to implement key processes.
